> The MSU College of Engineering offers more than 300 scholarships to 
> undergraduate students each year for a total of approximately $600,000 
> in amounts ranging from $100 to $13,000. There are separate selection 
> processes for obtaining scholarships for incoming freshmen and current 
> engineering students.
> Returning students are considered for all engineering scholarships for 
> which they are eligible by completing one scholarship application 
> annually. Applications are available now and are due by February 28, 
> 2011.   Allocations are made by a college committee spring semester, 
> for award the following fall.

> The following guidelines govern the selection process:

> 1. Academic excellence is the primary criterion, but financial need is 
> considered for some awards. Some awards are based on extracurricular 
> activities, community service, co-op and other work experience, 
> professional and honor societies, career interests, and other relevant 
> information. Your attached resume should reflect these accomplishments.

> 2. A minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 based on credits
