Now is the time to get involved with the ACM executive board
(e-board) for next year. We will be holding elections on </span><b
style="">Monday, February 27 at 6:30 PM in room 3112 EB</b><span
style="">. During the meeting we will elect members for all 8-9
e-board positions for the 2012-2013 school year. If you will be
here next year and have any interest in influencing ACM and
helping out, I strongly encourage you to run for a position.</span><br
style="">

<u style="">Requirements:</u><br style="">
<ul style="">
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">All students in all majors are
allowed to run</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Must still be a student during Fall
2012 (and preferably during Spring 2013)</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Must attend E-Board meetings during
the following school year (schedule to be determined by the new
board)<br>
</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">No experience necessary</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">
Just show up to elections and tell us why you want to be elected<br>
</li>

<u style="">Why You Should Run:</u><br style="">
<ul style="">
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Networking opportunities with other
students and lots of employers</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Looks great on a resume</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Help the CSE department by creating
events for other students</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Get to make decisions for what the
ACM will do<br>

</ul>

<u style="">Positions (more details on the positions will be given
at the election):</u><br style="">
<ul style="">
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">President: Hold meetings, delegate
work, make sure everything gets done</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Vice President: Assist the
president/fill in where needed, may attend SOCC meetings or fill
in for other positions</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Treasurer: Keep financial records,
reimburse people and manage the ACM accounts</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Secretary: Take the meeting
minutes, keep records of all events attendance/surveys, etc.</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Corporate Relations: Communicate
with employers about hosting talks, seek out new employers for
talks, may attend SOCC meetings</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Webmaster:Keep the website up to
date with events, optionally add any new features</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Community Relations: Attend SEC
meetings, make posters, update the ACM bulletin board</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Programming Competition Chair: Keep
the ACM in the loop about the programming competitions, manage
the monthly competitions</li>
<li style="margin-left: 15px;">Mentoring Program Chair (NEW): Work
with the CSE mentoring program and keep the ACM in the loop</li>
