Faces and Fingerprints: Human Recognition Using Biometrics
Arun Ross

Biometrics is the science of recognizing individuals based on their physical and behavioral attributes such as fingerprints, face, iris, voice and signature. Biometric solutions have been incorporated in smartphones, laptops, border security systems, criminal investigations, time-and-attendance technology and national ID cards. This talk will discuss the recent progress made in biometrics and enumerate some of the cutting edge problems being addressed by researchers in this field.
