Hello CSE students,

 

For those of you interested in scholarship opportunities, MSU Student
Affairs and Services offers undergraduate scholarships for student leaders

Excalibur Leadership Scholarship

The 2015 Excalibur Scholarship will be given in memory of William "Bill"
Volmar.  Bill graduated from Michigan State University in 1964 from the
College of Social Science. He was a very active member of the Spartan
community and the President of the Men's Residence Hall Association.  Bill
was in charge of the card sections at football games.

Criteria:

*	2.75 GPA or in good standing with MSU
*	Demonstrates service to MSU student community
*	Nominated by university leadership for consideration
*	Senior status
*	Demonstrates financial need
*	Is a leader within the Residence Hall community

 


2015 ASMSU's Scholarships for Student Leaders (Five scholarships)


Established in 1965, the Associated Students of Michigan State University is
the undergraduate student government. Along with representing MSU students
on academic and non-academic issues affecting student life, ASMSU provides
legal counsel, loans, free yearbooks, scholarships, blue books, and various
other services to undergraduate students at Michigan State. ASMSU also
provides funding for student organizations and hosts special events to
benefit and enrich the campus community throughout the year.

Through this scholarship, ASMSU wishes to honor those students who exhibit
active educational and professional leadership throughout the university
community and ensure that the financial demands and impacts on these
students are minimized.

Criteria:


*	Applicants must show they have and will continue to exhibit active
leadership engagement and service throughout the university community.
*	Applicants must be in good academic standing with minimum 2.75 GPA.
*	Applicants must have earned a minimum of 24 credits at MSU.
*	Applicants must submit a 300 word essay in response to the following
question: Please highlight how this scholarship could enhance your
leadership potential. Support your response with examples of your student
leadership experiences while at Michigan State University.
*	Financial need may be considered.
*	Applicants must be taxpaying members of ASMSU.
