WRA 320 Technical Writing, will be offered entirely online this summer.
It can be a good elective for people in other tracks. One of the
scenarios students are likely to explore this summer is this: What kinds
of open source software might non-profits and freelancers use? For
example, GIMP for image editing, BlueFish for web editing, Open Movie
Editor for video, Scribus for advanced document design, GnuCash for
accounting, and dotProject for project management. We'll look at
low-cost options for individuals and groups on tight budgets. Likely
deliverables may include product reviews, proposals, and written and
video tutorials.
