Volunteer Information Session
* This Friday, September, 9th*at *3105 Engineering Bldg, 4pm -- 5pm*
*Volunteer opportunities include:*
*Scratch Programming*
Scratch is a new programming language that makes it easy to create
interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art.
*Lego Robotics*
Lego Robotics is a fun, educational, and creative activity that tests
students' construction, programming, and design skills while teaching
basic concepts of engineering and technology.
*Science and Art of Game Design*
Students learn guiding principles of game design in an exciting,
creative environment.
*Digital Media Arts*
Students use computer technology, video technology, and music to learn
about synthesis, arrangement, composing, and other literacy skills.
*Have fun teaching technology to middle school youth!*
·Do you have a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference?
·Do you have a background in math, education, or technology (or a strong
desire to learn)?
·Are you interested in inspiring local youth?
*We need technical volunteers for fall 2011!*
Volunteering with the Information Technology Empowerment Center (ITEC)
provides leadership experience and opportunities for future paid
positions.You'll be giving back to the community while acquiring skills
that employers value.You can also earn academic credit for your
experience!Advisors will be available to answer questions.
If have an interest in obtaining credit, be sure to speak with me.
