Hello Michigan State University students,
On September 17th at 9am, a new web technology startup called Rippld
will be hosting a intercollegiate contest between the University of
Michigan, Michigan State University, and Lawrence Technological
University to find the best and brightest PHP developers. To sign up for
and see the details of the contest, sign up at www.rippld.com. When you
sign up, we will also send you an invitation to the Facebook event page
for the contest, where you can see updates and post questions to the team.
Awards:
$500 - Grand Prize for most efficient code
$250 - 1st prize for most efficient code at the university who did not
have Grand Prize winner
$250 - 1st prize for most efficient code at the other university who did
not have Grand Prize winner
$100 - Prize given to first developer to complete the puzzle correctly
across all universities.
Additional gift cards and prizes awarded for other most efficient and
fastest written code

Award Presentation and Networking 7:00 PM
The coding language will be PHP and submissions will be done via a
website which will inform participants if the puzzle was solved
correctly. All contestants are encouraged to familiarize themselves
with PHP prior to the contest. In addition to the contest page, details
will be provided during the orientation the day of the contest. Any
questions in the interim can be asked on the contest's Facebook page.
