Ever thought about making your own Facebook, Photobucket, Twitter
applications? Ever wondered how Digsby (www.digsby.com) talks to all
the websites that they do?
REST API is one of the most common software architectures for "web
services" (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) It's a major backbone of some of
the big websites. And it's your key into talking to those websites
and getting your job done.
I will be giving a presentation on what REST APIs are and how you can
use them. I will also be walking through some basic and advanced
techniques when dealing with different APIs. And finally I will also
describe a way to figure out a website's API even if it is not
publicly documented.
As always there will be Pizza and Pop provided

MSU ACM Vice President
