*The September 19 Tech Tour is at risk!* Currently, we only have 9
students registered. * If we don**’**t have at least 30 students
registered by Tuesday, we will cancel this first Tech Tour** of the
year**.* It’s a GREAT agenda with some really cool stuff for the
students, so please forward to your classes and identify individual
students to encourage them to attend. This early in the school year, we
do not yet have an extensive database of students to reach out to for
the tours…
*We are relying on you to help us identify students, and to encourage
students to attend! * Below is an email you can forward out to students
and use to talk about the Tech Tours in your classes or with students.
Frankly, they rock, so please help us have enough students to put on
this tour! Andrea Kerbuski can also share with you a power point you can
use in class if you’d like. Simply email her at _akerbuski at camw.net_
<mailto:akerbuski at camw.net> to request a copy be sent to you if you
haven’t already received it…

Hello!
The Capital Area IT Council’s Tech Tours are back to help you get jobs
and internships! Those of you who participated last year know about the
opportunities to network with IT professionals in the Lansing area and
tour not only IT companies, but potential places to live and play. As it
was last year, we will be touring four large IT companies, a housing
option and then meeting up with IT professionals at a downtown venue for
drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
The first Tech Tour of the year is Friday, September 19. We will be
meeting at MSU’s International Center 12 p.m. on Friday, September 19 in
the lobby for registration and board the bus shortly after and begin the
Tech Tour. The Tech Tour will conclude at 6:30 p.m. with a ride back to
the International Center aboard the entertainment trolley. We’ll provide
the transportation to Vision Creative, Michigan Department of
Information Technology and Accident Fund Insurance Company, then tour
lofts and have drinks and snacks at Tavern on the Square downtown before
giving you trolley passes to head back to campus.
Limited spots available! If you would like to RSVP, please email Andrea
Kerbuski, _akerbuski at camw.net_ <mailto:akerbuski at camw.net>, with your
first and last name along with your cell phone number. Feel free to pass
this email along to anyone who may be interested.
Thank you!
