If you have ever had an opinion about CSE classes, used the CSE computer
labs, done research, wondered about department policies, had a question
about the curriculum, or taught a course here at MSU, then don’t miss
this opportunity!
We need student representatives to serve on department, college, and
university committees next year. MSU needs YOUR voice!
CSE is still accepting nominations for all committees. Volunteers are
strongly encouraged.
*Nominations are due Monday, April 21 at 5pm. Vote for your student
representatives beginning Tuesday, April 22.*
There is a critical need for students willing to serve on the committees
listed below.
*CSE Advisory Committee *(meets when needed)**
Advise CSE Chair on CSE executive planning and decision-making.
*CSE Computing Environment Com. *(meets when needed)**
Make decisions of hardware, software, lab facilities of CSE.
*EGRSC Engineering Research and Graduate Studies Committee:* (monthly)
Advise and assist the Dean* *on grad courses and programs, policy.
*COGS (Council of Graduate Students):
As MSU's graduate student major governing group, COGS has an enormous
responsibility serving the MSU graduate community in many different
aspects. In addition to the many free and discounted services COGS
provides, COGS also has the great task of appointing graduate students
to nearly 100 university committees, ranging from the MSU Student
Foodbank to the graduate liaison to the Board of Trustees, just to name
a few. For more information on committees COGS represents.
* *
*College Hearing Board*--This is a Board that hears cases when
grievances reach the college level. (Meets as needed)
*Graduate Employees Union (GEU) Steward* -- *The Stewards Council*
consists of GEU members from all departments of the university and is
responsible for organizing the union, planning events and actions, and
approving union policies.
