<p class="MsoNormal">Academic Tutor Position<br>
<br>
Student-Athlete Support Services is hiring Academic Tutors for
Spring 2014. <o:p>
</o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Prospective employees must have at least a
3.0 cumulative GPA.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tutors will be assigned tutorial sessions
based on the courses that they have taken at MSU; tutors must
have received a 3.0 or better in the course in order to tutor
it.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Two evenings each week between 6:30-9:30 pm
are required; your schedule and the number of hours you work
will be set based upon your availability. Most tutoring takes
place between 8:00am-2:00pm Monday through Friday, and
6:30-9:30pm Monday through Thursday.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities include meeting with student-athletes at
least 1-2 times weekly, facilitating independent learning and
fostering effective study habits, and having knowledge of
course content.

<br>
Other duties include attending required orientation and
training sessions, and communicating regularly with SASS
staff. Prospective tutors must have excellent communication
and organization skills.
