The Behaviour, Information, and Technology lab (BITLab) at Michigan
State University is interested in hiring an undergraduate research
assistant to help with our security project, which studies the security
decisions end users make on their computers. We are looking for
motivated students interested in gaining research experience and willing
learn to learn about new technologies. All of our projects span multiple
disciplines including Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, and
Social Science. As an interdisciplinary lab, we provide students with
the opportunity to work on research projects with the potential to
improve our understanding of how technology and people affect each
other. The majority of our research projects are team-based and involve
both technical computer science and social / behavioural components.
Students working in our lab will gain experience working in an
interdisciplinary team. Students will also have the opportunity to help
guide the research being conducted and the flexibility to design and
test their own solutions to problems. You can read about the Bitlab on
our website: http://bitlab.cas.msu.edu/opportunities.html To apply
please send a copy of your Resume and an unofficial copy of your
transcript (such as grades printed out from STU INFO), and a brief
statement explaining why you are interested in the project (no more than
300 words!) to the BITLab at jobs at bitlab.cas.msu.edu
