Subject: Google Summer of Code - now accepting student applications

Google is excited to announce we are now accepting student applications
for Google Summer of Code(TM) 2011! Google wants to inspire (or
encourage) young developers to begin participating in open source
development, while getting paid at the same time. In it’s seventh year,
Google Summer of Code provides opportunities for students in ComputerSci
ence and related fields to work on projects related to their academic
pursuits.

Google works with a carefully selected group of open source, free
software and technology-related groups to identify and fund a wide
variety of open source projects over this three month period. Accepted
students are then given mentors from these projects to help them
succeed. Since 2005, the program has brought together over 4,500
students around the globe with over 300 open source projects, to create
millions of lines of code.

We will be accepting student applications until April 8, 2011.
