[Bmi] Open Position: Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at MSU

accepted for the position of the Chair of the Department of Computer 
Science and Engineering (CSE) at MSU. The department has 31 tenure 
system faculty members and 5 teaching specialists, with several new 
anticipated faculty positions.

The CSE department has a strong research and educational program that is 
renowned for its multidisciplinary nature. The Chair of CSE will oversee 
department operations, personnel and resources. The Chair will advance 
the departmental vision of academic leadership and excellence, and will 
represent the department to academia, industry and government for its 
continued vitality. The Chair will actively work with faculty in the 
department and across the university to identify and pursue innovations 
in research, education, and service. The Chair will be actively involved 
in strategic planning that would expand the influence of the department 
in the broader academic community both within and outside the 
university, and will promote diversity within the department and the 
institution.
