[Bmi] Discussion on group intelligence

you might be interested in this follow-on to my Science paper.  We found 
that 50% of the `collective intelligence' (objective performance) of a 
group can be predicted by the pattern of interaction alone.  Similar 
results hold in real-world situations (companies, etc) that we have 
analyzed.
