The project will design and implement a system for intrinsic motivation and curiosity that will allow an intelligent companion to begin to take initiative in learning how to explore its environment including how to ask the human partner for help and information. The thesis takes place in the context of a partnership between the Robot Cognition Laboratory (INSERM/CNRS – P.F. Dominey), the Flowers laboratory (INRIA – P.-Y. Oudeyer) and the innovation services department of Intrinsic Cloud Temple (J-M Dussoux).
