Applicants are invited to join the Robotics Laboratory for a
project (entitled “Developmental Algorithms for Robotics”). The
project is focusing on developmental robotic learning based on an
iCub humanoid robot. This is a three year EPSRC funded project
running at Aberystwyth University started March 2015, with the
support of an International Scientific Advisory Board consisting
of leading developmental psychologists.

We wish to appoint a Post-Doctoral Research Associate who will
develop models based on the psychological literature, and conduct
experiments on our iCub humanoid robot. The successful candidate
will have appropriate modelling skills and experience, and proven
abilities in this area. Other tasks include writing scientific
documents and papers, documenting experiments and writing reports,
supervising a PhD student and collaborating with other
researchers. Regular European travel will be involved.

The project ends March 2018, with the fixed-term contract running
to this date.
