CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
- CITEC Summer School 2013
Continuous Learning in Living and Artificial Systems
CITEC, Bielefeld University, Germany, September 9th-13th, 2013
Deadline for applications June 21st, 2013.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear young researchers,
The CITEC Summer School 2013 is dedicated to the topic of Continuous
learning in living and artificial systems and taking place from
September 9-13.
We invite you to Bielefeld to discover the complexity and structures of
learning processes in the areas of cognitive neuroscience, HRI,
linguistics, experimental psychology, computational modeling, and
robotics. Each day of our summer school is dedicated to a focus issue,
which will be treated from several perspectives. Theoretical input and
latest research results will be presented in plenary lectures, which are
held by renowned international and CITEC experts. Small-group workshops
on practical, experimental and theoretical topics, as well as discussion
groups, and an activity program round up the curriculum.
Besides attending the invited talks by experts and participating in the
afternoon courses (we advance that there will be around 3 parallel
courses every afternoon to select from), the students will have the
opportunity to engage in discussions with the invited speakers and local
tutors/speakers and discuss aspects related to their own research.
