(Thanks Angelo for the email.)
Dear AMD researchers,
Although the impact factor is not the only factor that measures the success of a journal, the good number (2.310, ranked #20 among all IEEE transactions) is encouraging as we are in the middle of the fourth year of its existence. I want to thank everyone for your support and look forward to your continuous support. Please read, download, and cite, when appropriate, as many papers published in IEEE TAMD as possible, and encourage others to do so. Please also submit your own work to IEEE TAMD.
I know some researchers do not have access to IEEE publications. If possible, please ask your institution to subscribe IEEE TAMD.
I have also created a website: http://research.microsoft.com/~zhang/ieee-tamd/index.html
It contains the Table of Contents, Abstracts, and Links to all published articles.
I have also included the email addresses of the authors so you can ask them to send you a copy in case you do not have access to IEEE Xplore.
I'm attaching the TOC page of the latest issue (Vol.4, No.2, published in June 2012).
I'd like also to announce the establishment of the yearly TAMD Best Paper Award. We are soliciting the nominations, and they will be evaluated by an award committee.
I'm also accepting special issue proposals.
Zhengyou Zhang
EiC, IEEE TAMD

Subject: [IEEE-AMDTC] First IEEE TAMD Impact Factor: 2.310
Dear AMDTC Members,
Thompson has just published the 2011 journal impact factors, and this includes our first ever IF for the IEEE Transactions Autonomous Mental Development. This is 2.310, which I believe is an excellent start for our journal.
This is for example just below the IEEE T Robotics (2.536), and ranked 20th out of 71 IEEE Transactions!
Well done to Zhengyou for achieving such an important result.
And again an encouragement to the large AMD community to make our journal sustainable through the submission of high impact articles to the journal (and the citation of papers in the journal ;-)
Ciao,
angelo
