ACM Members,<br><br>Now is the time to get involved with the ACM executive board (e-board) for next year. We will be holding elections on <b>Monday, February 27 at 6:30 PM in room 3112 EB</b>. During the meeting we will elect members for all 8-9 e-board positions for the 2012-2013 school year. If you will be here next year and have any interest in influencing ACM and helping out, I strongly encourage you to run for a position.<br>
<br><u>Requirements:</u><br><ul><li>All students in all majors are allowed to run</li><li>Must still be a student during Fall 2012 (and preferably during Spring 2013)</li><li>Must attend E-Board meetings during the following school year (schedule to be determined by the new board)<br>
</li><li>No experience necessary</li>
<li>Just show up to elections and tell us why you want to be elected<br></li></ul><br><u>Why You Should Run:</u><br><ul><li>Networking opportunities with other students and lots of employers</li><li>Looks great on a resume</li>
<li>Help the CSE department by creating events for other students</li>
<li>Get to make decisions for what the ACM will do<br></li></ul><br><u>Positions (more details on the positions will be given at the election):</u><br><ul><li>President</li><ul><li>Hold meetings, delegate work, make sure everything gets done<br>
</li></ul><li>Vice President</li><ul><li>Assist the president/fill in where needed, may attend SOCC meetings or fill in for other positions<br></li></ul><li>Treasurer</li><ul><li>Keep financial records, reimburse people and manage the ACM accounts<br>
</li></ul><li>Secretary</li><ul><li>Take the meeting minutes, keep records of all events attendance/surveys, etc.<br></li></ul><li>Corporate Relations</li><ul><li>Communicate with employers about hosting talks, seek out new employers for talks, may attend SOCC meetings<br>
</li></ul><li>Webmaster</li><ul><li>Keep the website up to date with events, optionally add any new features<br></li></ul><li>Community Relations</li><ul><li>Attend SEC meetings, make posters, update the ACM bulletin board</li>
</ul><li>Programming Competition Chair</li><ul><li>Keep the ACM in the loop about the programming competitions, manage the monthly competitions<br></li></ul><li>Mentoring Program Chair (NEW)</li><ul><li>Work with the CSE mentoring program and keep the ACM in the loop<br>
