Hello, ACM!

This email is a bit longer than usual, because we have a bunch of exciting
events coming up! You may have heard some of this information at the last
meeting, but there are new items as well. Enjoy!

> Painting The Rock, Tuesday 1pm - 12am

It's a tradition at MSU for student groups to paint the big rock next to
the auditorium on Farm Lane. This tuesday, let's join up with WIC to paint
the rock with CSE pride!

In order to paint the rock, we need to first stake our claim. We're
planning on sending members to sit at the rock (2 or 3 at a time). We'll
have hot cider and chairs for the volunteers, and you can bring a football,
book, or anything else to keep you occupied. If you can make it to the rock
for a shift, fill out the time <http://doodle.com/yufyzuwdhz955qbm> you can
be there!

We don't have a specific message we're trying to spread -- we'll just put
our group names on the rock, accompanied by a CSE-related pun or something
of that nature. If you have any ideas, let us know! We'll buy paint to
match the winning design.

> The Hatch Mixer, Thursday, Nov 21 @ 6pm

Have you ever considered starting your own business? Yes, it is possible,
even while you’re in school! What if we told you there was an organization
right here in glorious East Lansing that was dedicated to getting student
entrepreneurs together to start businesses?

This Thursday, The Hatch is hosting an entrepreneurship/engineering mixer
at 6pm. The Hatch is a student startup incubator which hosts and enables
student entrepreneurs to make their ideas a reality, located at *350 E.
Grand River*, right above Douglas J. If you’re interested in the
possibility of turning that cool idea you've got cooking into a startup,
come check it out!

> Elections, Thursday Dec 5 @ 7pm

ACM E-Board elections will take place during our last meeting of the
semester. If you're interested in getting more involved, the E-board is the
perfect way to do it. As an E-board member, you'd be able to organize fun
talks and events, meet with people from companies all over the country, and
add a great item to your resume.

Positions that will be opening up include:

   - President
   - Vice President
   - Treasurer
   - Secretary
   - Webmaster
   - Corporate Relations Liaison

The exact positions vary from year-to-year, so if you feel like you can
contribute to the group in another role, we'd love to hear about it.

Most of our current E-board will be graduating in May, so now's the perfect
time to get involved. If you're elected, you'll be asked to join us during
the board meetings in the spring semester, where you'll learn exactly what
we do before you take over the reigns in Fall 2014.

If you're interested, come to this week's board meeting at 7pm on Tuesday,
in 3105 EB. If you can't make it, send us an email and we'll let you know
what to do.

Thanks for sticking with us through all of our news! See you at the events!
